Good. You probably had an IRQ conflict of some sort.

This is normal. The Hardware Manager page can only display information
provided by the drivers. No driver. No display.

You need to have one copy of:

BASEDEV=USBEHCD.SYS
BASEDEV=USBOHCD.SYS
BASEDEV=USBUHCD.SYS

for each installed controller. See:

for more info. This site should also be able the help you with your USB
floppy. It appears that you don't know this site exists. If so, my
apology for not realizing this.

If you continue to have problem, give me a yell and I'll take a look at
the config.sys.
