Yes. Just keep in mind that the altered PATH applies only to the current
session and any sessions you create from this sessions (with start or
whatever). You are not making a system wide change. This is true for all
environment variables. It is also true for BEGINLIBPATH and ENDLIBPATH
although these are not true environment variables.

No problem. I forget stuff all the time.

Just don't use terms like arcane and cognoscenti when asking for a
refresher course and I'll be glad to tell you what I remember.
