I may be able to answer that. What you are describing
sounds like it has to involve the Portable Backup
feature of UniMaint. I've been in touch with Jim
Read, who now owns & controls the code for this
program. He told me there is a bug regarding UniMain
and eCS, having to do with the eCenter, causing things
to hang with an error. He is working on this, and
_may_ have a temporary workaround for it (a private
interim build you can request from him if you are a
registered user), which you can try, until such time
as there is a more proven fix in a later, public
release. I got this version from him, but did not get
to the point where I was ready to try it out.
