Hi Peter,
I just did, and I got the following (my attempts to
capture this to a file clipped the command header, and
maybe an add'l. line):

and so forth, until my CTLR-C.
But I already knew they must be back on the air,
because I picked up some comp.os2.multimedia messages
via the news client in Mozilla, shortly before trying
your suggestion. I can pick up newsgroup stuff with
Mozilla or ProNews under eCS, and with Mozilla or
Forte Agent on the Dark Side. But (frankly) I most
often use the latter, because I prefer the interface
and features. Anyway, this gives me a decent range of
options for seeing if newsgroup connectivity is
happening. Your suggestion and Steven's will augment
that.

That may come in handy down the line, but I wouldn't
waste my time giving anything like this to the
*regular* SBC Tech Support.
