Yes. The install creates several registry entries and maybe a couple of
os2.ini entries. See the readme.

It will be much better if you run Java rather than running the installer.
Go to the directory where you installed java and try it there. For
example:
[j:\tmp]d:\java142\bin\
[d:\java142\bin]java -version
java version "1.4.2_05"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_05-b04) Java
HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_05-b04, mixed mode)
This is the last version released by Innotek.
