Hi Steven,
That works.
In my experience, the problem is quite predictable. If I shut down the
computer without exiting Mozilla, it always reopens in "offline" mode. I
had been exiting Mozilla before shutting down to prevent this from
happening.
Now that I have created the "user.js" file that you recommended, I can
leave Mozilla running when I shut down, and the next time it reopens
properly.
