A couple other thoughts on this while the grill heats up; Yahoo
does not allow POP access directly (without YPOPs) on their free
email accounts, but if you are willing to shell out $20 per year
for Yahoo Plus, then POP access is granted. If you go this
route, you would configure Mozilla to handle Yahoo
(pop.yahoo.com IIRC) as your ISP.
Another option is to get a Gmail account. Gmail is a free web
email service similar to Yahoo but offered by Google. Send me an
email off-list if you are interested and I will send you an
invitation. Gmail is still in beta so you need an invitation to
sign up. There are privacy issues (they scan your subject lines
for targeted text ads) so its not for everyone.
