Followup to my conversation yesterday with Mark A. and
Steven --
I have located and downloaded a Beta 4 Linux driver
for this device, with sources. (The d/l page says it
was written in C.) By all accounts, this Hawking uses
the ZyDas 1211 chipset, although the Nic itself was
apparently manufactured by some other Co., though
*not* D-Link. Also, I pulled down a bunch of related
documentation and message threads, with links and
tips. I think there may have been a reference to a
spec sheet of some sort -- the FCC registration one.
For starters, does this get us much closer to a
possible solution than the long and arduous path taken
by Mark ?
