Yes, It looks as if PM 5 would work!
The DOS-OS/2 subdirectory makes bootable DOS floppies.

In Peter's case, recognizing HPFS is not necessary.

He just needs to format an unformatted FAT 32 partition
in his external USB 120GB hard drive that he uses for backup.
He may have to move the HD to an internal IDE controller for
this exercise, though.

Here is an opportunity to use SAVEDSKF and LOADSKF to recreate
the Caldera Boot floppies from PM5. I could email him the floppies,
so to speak!
