But someone else also told me that their E-mail to me was bounced.
Obviously I can't control who sends me what from where. But what I can't
afford is legitimate, frequently important E-mails being bounced.
I wrote back to Go Daddy:
"Sorry, this doesn't work for me.
"I cannot and do not want to control what mail servers people send to me
from.
"I understand the "problem" you want to address, but in my case, not only
is it not a problem, but the cure is worse than the disease. I do not
want *any* filtering of E-mail to me - I do not use Windows or any other
operating system for which viruses are a problem. Spam is forwarded to
the Attorney General's office. *Not* receiving E-mail, or having E-mail
bounced is potentially disasterous. In this case it may have affected an
appointment by the Governor."
to which they responded:
"Thank you for contacting customer support. I apologize for any
inconvenience. We will not unblock this IP address. You will want to
contact your ISP about getting a different IP for your mail server.
Please let us know if we can help you in any other way."
