I would like to be able to assume that the browser was not designed to
randomly start off-line. At this point we seem to have three choices:
Don't use Mozilla.
Bitch to the world in general in hopes that someone will hear us and
fix it.
Open the browser, make sure the connector is plugged in, proceed.
