This is a known problem for AMD64 based systems. Open a support ticket a
www.ecomstation.com and request the updated eCS1.2 ISO with AMD64 support.

If you are just updating to a newer driver version, this is safe.

Perhaps. You really should be asking this on the uniaud support mailing
list at netlabs. The driver may not yet be fully compatible with your
hardware.
