I hope your info is much more current than mine. The
last time I checked prices on the WD Raptors (supposed
to be high-performance drives, and the SATAs with the
longest warranty), inexpensive was not the word that
came to mind. I didn't see much of a savings there --
esp. since I already have the U160 card & cables, and
a U320 cable. If there are better, or more cost
effective choices than the Raptors, I'd like to hear
about them.
Whatever I get for the next desktop, it will wind up
being multiples, since I like to have clone drives for
insurance, one always stored off-site. The Shuttle
has two . . . but they were ATA -- downright cheap
when bought with sale + rebate.
