A lot of people (incl. me) prefer W2K over XP.
There's very little you get from the latter that you
don't get with the former . . . esp. if we're talking
about the Corporate Edition (recommended), which can
be put on multiple machines, reinstalled, and does not
have to be registered with / initialized by MS. OTOH,
they have announced iminent End of Support for XP Home
(sound familiar ?), so who knows when the other shoe
will drop in the form of XP Pro ? There will likely
be a big push to move their user base into Vista.
(And you don't want to go there.) Since W2K has a
huge installed base in the business world, I think
their pulling the plug on it will be problemmatical.
