Worked without trapping. com.sys and vcom.sys still not loading.
*****Then tried to re-enable the install of APM support. That trapped, so
I think that I've solved that problem for now.
Now trying an install with Notebook, network (no adapter), and sound card
(Soundmax selected). Success - went through the 1st phase re-boot just
fine.
On second re-boot Soundmax drivers didn't load. Not really a surprise.
I'll try Uniaud, though I don't think that they'll work either.
Re-initialized multimedia, then installed Uniaud drivers, with their
required dll. Hmmm, no error message on boot. But no sound, either.
