Something else.

The WPS supports two kinds of Program objects - Program Reference objects
and Program File objects. A Program Reference object, as its name
implies, is an indirect reference to an executable. A Program File object
is the WPS representation of the executable file itself.

You can tell which you have with an object explorer or by looking at the
tabs of the Properties notebook. A notebook for a Program File object
will have a File tab because the object represents a physical file. The
notebook for a Program Reference object will not have a File tab because
it is what is known as an abstract object. The definitions of abstract
objects are stored in the WPS INI data.

Generally, one should use Program Reference objects on the Desktop because
they are more flexible and their settings persist even if the underlying
executable file is replaced.

Regards,

Steven
