Well....... When I signed up for Verizon Broadband Access (without cell
phone) the contract was for 2 years at $79,99 a month. Verizon changed
the Verizon Broadband Access (without cell phone) the contract was for 2
years at $59,99 a month plan but I was not notified. January 2006
statement, an additional $12.25 was added to my bill. Talking once to a
customer service representative and then a separate call to another
customer service representative and a supervisor, I was being charged for
NationalAccess (ie dialup access via PC 5220) usage.
In February I relooked at my bill and I realized that my contract with
Verizon Wireless was for Broadband and National Access. The current
promotion by Verizonwireless is for Broadband only. I recalled Verizon
Wireless customer service, pointed this out and was promptly refunded the
$12.25.
Suggestion: periodically check your cell phone, internet provider, or any
business - even your health insurance to see if different plans are
available. Monitor dslreports.com . Log on to you internet provider's
home web page and then check to see what else is available.
Regards.
