Mark,
I tried to follow these directions, without visible results.
I used the link in your e-mail to download the r63 version, and stored
the file on my D: (fat) drive as "flash763.exe".
I booted to Win2K Pro, and "upgraded" my Firefox there. I copied
NPSWF32.DLL to my D: drive.
I rebooted eCS. Since I didn't have a Hex Editor, I Google'd on "Hex
Editor OS/2". This turned up a candidate named "KON". I downloaded it,
made the backup of my \Plugins directory, and edited "npswf2.dll".
(The string "7.0 r14" was found in the last line of the .DLL file. When
I had replaced it and saved the file, the file size was the same. A
file npswf2.BAK was created in the \plugins directory.)
When I started Seamonkey, I opened Ray's e-mail and clicked on the link.
The Web site still says I have Flash 7.0.14.0 installed successfully.
The upper box still says "Click here for plugin". I think another
note in this thread says that there should be some video or animation in
the upper box.
Does any of this sound wrong to you?
What "hex Editor" do you or others use on OS/2?
Thanks,
Colin
