Subject: SCOUG-Help: finding url's

This is an old problem that occurs intermittently, and I am still trying
to troubleshoot it.

When I try to open a link, I often get the message "page not found -- try
again." It may take a few "tries" before the page loads. I also have
difficulty sending messages from MR2/ICE -- it may or may not give an
error message that the mail server is unavailable, only to send the
message a few seconds later.

This happens with both Seamonkey and with Firefox.
It happens on this computer with both Warp 4 and with eCS.

Another computer attached to the same router does not appear to have this
difficulty, although being that the problem is intermittent, I can't be
100% sure.

I tried changing the cat 5 cable, tried a different router, got a new DSL
modem, and even tried a different power supply. So far no cigar.

If I understood better why this might be happening, I would try other
remedies. In the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions, please let me
know.

Sandy
