Not much luck so far.
One symbios card from ebay was DOA
An Adaptec AHA-2930 CU from ebay works under Windows, but the OS/2 driver
AIC7870.ADD does not load (error message says "unable to load valid scsi
device for this driver"). I tried two versions of aic7870.add (154,140 and
40,846) .
PCI (works under full screen OS/2, not OS/2 window) says:
vendor 9004h Adaptec corp.
device 3860h AHA-2930CU PCI SCSI controller.
Steve Carter is sending me an Asus controller to try -- it works with the
symbios driver. Hopefully that will do the job.
Could it be I have the right Adaptec driver and there is something about
this MB or video card?
Thanks,
Sandy
