It's there and it's checked. The messages are displayed inline. It's
just that ugly bottom frame without any re-sizing capability or
scrollbar that bugs me. I'll just have to use my work-around, moving it
off the bottom of the screen and re-sizing the rest. At least eCS allows
me to make the window bigger than the actual screen unlike the dark side
where it limits the window size!
