I may not be understanding your question, but if I RMB click on the JPG
icon, I get a popup menu with "open as" as the first choice. I don't see
anything that says "open." When I click on "open as" a window opens with
the file name and "editor" at the top. The window then sits there with the
timer icon on. I finally have to click "control-escape" and "close" to
move on.
