Not in your car, you can't ! (OTOH, I understand that
Infiniti now has at least one model that comes with a
10G hard drive for music, so maybe I'm wrong . . . or
soon will be.)
While we're on the subject, a year or two ago I asked
Peter if any vehicle mfr. offered combo units that
supported *all* still-viable formats, and I think he
said No. (For "still-viable" I think you'd include
cassettes for tape -- just barely -- but not anything
older like 8-track.)
Why cassettes ? Well, Books on Tape, for one. I've
heard that they are available on cd these days, but I
don't see them around, and I bet the selection does
not compare.
Well, it turns out that Toyota and Lexus now have
this. Even on loftier models, like the RX 400H SUV.
Maybe with some other mfr.s too ? You _can_ have it
all. But the satellite radio is an add-in module, and
a very expensive one at that.
