Baloney ! I have a 200G drive (ext. USB, for video
work) that is partitioned as *one* FAT32 partition.
And I bet you can find someone who has made FAT32
partitions that are more like 300G. Ask Tony.

I don't know what the upper limit is, but I read a
Wikipedia entry quite some time ago that stated this
32G limit business . . . so I conclude there is a
common misconception often quoted.

A better question might be: "What FAT32 max. size is
known to be stable ?" But then, I've had such
partitions in the 60 - 200G range (for a few years, in
some cases), and never had a problem. And I've heard
reports of 40 - 100G NTFS partitions going South on
people, so I wouldn't take anything for granted.

I'd like to be able to tell you exactly what I used to
create the 200G FAT32 partition, but I can't remember
whether it was DFSEE (probably), PM 8.01, or W2K
itself.
