Well, that was fun. It appears that the recovery disk copied a lot of
stuff the HDD, but did not install an OS. I did not actually look at
the contents of the drive. I installed W98SE and a lot of stuff got
picked up that was already on the disk. There are 25 icons on the DT, 5
have "ThinkPad" in their names. Sound works and the screen resolution
is 1024 x 768.
Now I have a quandary. It probably works as good as I could ever get it
to. But, I am supposed to set it up as "safe" for a kid. She is
allowed email but not WEB access. I am thinking; remove IE, Outlook and
the games and add TB.
There is a connector marked mouse. So far I have not gotten it to
accept an external. I don't find any way in the "BIOS" to activate it.
Ideas?
