And since all the updates for W98 there will ever be are already posted
there is no reason I have found for keeping IE.
And would delete be as in delete the EXE? If so why would I need
someones fancy program? I have deleted the EXE and am now looking for
whatever problem(s) that might cause. Someone on the MOZILLA\TB news
group thought Windows Explorer and Help would no longer work. I don't
use WE - I use third party file managers - and I haven't tested the Help
system.

When I install Win I tell it not to set DLST. Win does not actually go
see what time it is. It just looks at the system date and changes the
clock. But by then I have already used Time868 to set the clock, so I
just have to set it again.
