As I said, Profile Mgr. is dead in both programs, as
is Edit --> Preferences. I don't know what you mean
by "basic issue." If you meant some system-wide OS
problem, I doubt it. One way or another, these two
programs have clobbered each other, and I suspect the
damage emanates from the shared Profile. That is to
say, I think that if I uninstall SM and backlevel
parts of the Moz tree -- particularly the profile and
all or most of chrome -- that I will get back to a
functional, pre-SM-install status quo on Moz, and can
attempt a better do-over. But, if I had that list of
files to target, I could do this with some precision,
rather than just wielding a blunt instrument. Either
way, I'm going to need to do something about it fairly
soon.
