Would you like me to do it again, your machine or mine?
I do not think you can imagine how many versions I have run from the
same profile. I have been chasing the SM mail scroll delay - did you
catch that demo? That has involved, download, unzip, run, over and over
and over and ......... That has mostly been SM back when it was still
1.8x. And I use the same profiles(s) to look at the new stuff as it
comes out.
If you can't seem to either make or get profiles to work I suspect some
basic issue. Profiles are not something like children; to be cherished.
If one seems broken, make a new one. If that fixes the problem, throw
away the old. They are too easy to make to fret over.
And, I have had basic issues with Mozilla. I have recently had
combinations of hardware, OS/2-eCS, and Mozilla-SM where the program
would close. It might close while loading, just after, or while typing
an email.
