Evidently there is something more to this. The PW
SM-115 I installed is very incomplete (no EDIT or
various other Header items I'm accustomed to seeing at
top), plus a 1/4 screen grey area at bottom with some
obvious error showing. Tried swapping in alternate
GCC and LIBC dll releases, but this has not made the
difference. I think I've seen something similar (but
not identical) to this before, but don't recall the
details. Google has only turned up this item, in
French, along with a few in Czech or Japanese that
don't have translate options.

It's the right error, but they seem to be referring to
the Windoze version, where you DO need to uninstall
the prior version first. WE should not fall under the
same restriction, and should be able to have alternate
versions available. I've temporarily reset the
desktop object to invoke SM 111, so I won't have to go
browser-less in eCS until I find the answer on this.
