Sorta.

At the moment my two actual SATA HDDs are in USB cases. Mostly because
I have not yet acquired plugin racks for them.

I have made a couple attempts to use the SATA ports on the MB by using
PATA devices with adapters. I have a storage box with a case with front
panel space for three 3.5 for two floppies and a ZIP, and five 5.25 for
four HDDs and an optical. I could not get an optical to work. PATA
HDDs seemed to work but then had problems. ZIP works well. That
machine is getting another MB. There are now 3 in 2 and 5 in 3 racks,
and they are expensive.

My primary machine has a ZIP with an adapter on a SATA port. The drive
letter is after the HDDs in both W4 and W2K. From what I have seen I
think "natural" drive letters for SATA HDDs will be after PATA and then
ZIP and then optical.

Just play with it. Nothing is going to blow up.

Ray
