Happy Monday,
Please, someone, give me an idea on how to further trouble
shoot the problem of no sound, not even a system beep, on a
motherboard that a few days ago had sound. I don't remember
what I may have done, but I am always doing things to my
computer. I just took out its Athlon CPU and replaced it with
an Opteron dual core. The audio out from the on board nForce4
AC'97 audio controller (device 0059), listed as supported by
Uniaud v. 1.1.4-rc3, is firmly connected to the audio in on a
new ViewSonic flat screen monitor. This setup worked a few
days ago. Actually, I just went from Uniaud rc2 to rc3. Also,
I uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled the audio stuff.
Please give me a nudge.
Martin
