I have experienced similiar problems in the past w/ RSJ. I just
got different CD's. The CD's will work with windows software but
not RSJ. I never bothered to try to figure out why.

I seem to recall that if I were to finalize with write protection
then I could use the unseal command to allow write protection. But

CD's formated by 3rd party software never worked.

You can try manipulating the CD in Win w/ Nero or Easy CD Creator.

Also, try chkdsk /V to get more info.

This CD is a DFS bootdisk:
