If you did not get rid of the CD partition you did not get "rid of that
stuff manually." Just what did you get rid of?

The utility I linked reduces it to a single storage device.

It continues to crash W4 and RC4 on my DT - as it did before I "fixed"
it. My LT just says it is not properly formated. I reformated it with
DFSee, that did not help.

I went to Sandisk at CES to beat up on them about it. They said I was
late to the party; they have had many complaints. I think something
will change.
