You are attempting to connect to the FTP server. That not what I said.
Use a straight telnet connection (i.e. drop the -p21) and use your OS2BBS
userid and password. I'm not sure if OS/2's telnet will support file
transfers. That's why I use ZOC. Hyperaccess/Pro supports file transfers
and, IIRC, telnet connections. I'm not sure how much of this is included
in the BonusPack version.

It's
ftp://anonymous:steve53%40earthlink.net@bbs.os2bbs.com
You need to use the %-escape to get the @ through to the server. All
servers are supposed to support this but, YMMV.
