In hindsight, it was just hiding. What I do find interesting is that it
took you so long to find a way to make the data reappear. Now that we
understand what triggers the problem, making the data reappear is easy.
It sort of impies that you must have been doing the same thing over and
over rather than trying variations to see what the application could do.

The list of things that we license is large. The only real difference
with software licensing is that the content lacks a lot of physical
substance. OTOH, the same could be said for movies and broadcast music
which are typically licensed.
