Subject: SCOUG-Programming: January Programming SIG meeting

Content Type: text/plain

I will not attend the January meeting of the Programming SIG
this Saturday as I have some blueberry deliveries to make as
part of my volunteer duties with the LA Chapter of the
California Rare Fruit Growers (www.crfg.org).

I have continued my pursuit of an available open source PM
editor without success. I did purchase a shareware editor,
MED, which I have yet to explore fully. That means that we
still need a candidate and that you have a vote.

I fully expect that once we have chosen a candidate editor,
applied the nuances that Bob has offered us in his Introduction
to PM programming, and then have a reliable, suitable starting
point that we will move at a steady pace toward our
compiler/interpreter. It will give us an opportunity to test a
number of claims made for this approach. Once shifted from
theory to fact, a point at which we should have consensus
each step of the way, we should have an increasing
momentum as we go forward.

I look forward to the Programming SIG in February. The same
for your editor candidates.
