A Warpstock '98 Special Report
From The Vendor Floor
New Version of Hethmon Brothers FTPD
by
Peter Skye
ARPSTOCK
---
Version 2.0 of FTPD will be out soon, and it's a screamer.
FTPD is Paul Hethmon's FTP daemon, and the new version supports virtual
domains, multiple unique domains, and virtual file systems so you can define
the directory structure that a user sees (just like TVFS).
It's also got browser-based administration so you can administer it from
anywhere, and it's a full rewrite of Paul's very successful
version 1.0.
"It's more user friendly, it's browser friendly and I've
built on the experience I gained writing version 1.0," said Paul.
"It's an easier and more flexible configuration than the IBM-supplied
FTPD, plus it's multi-threaded instead of multi-process, and
it's less resource intensive.
And, you can get our great technical support when you need it."
$30, or free upgrade from version 1.0.
