Hello Butch,
Still some confusions !?

> Do I need to make config sys file change like above with
diskette #2
> replacement ?

There is only one CONFIG.SYS on Diskette 1 !!!

>Is it recommended to make the boot manager startable primary
partition 7 mb,
>the bootable primary partition C: 801 mb,
>and several other partitions of 5 gigs each ?

How big is your HDD ?
What do you want to have installed on this specific system ?
About partitoning see my other message !!

>Now I edited the #1 replacement diskette using Notepad in
Windows 2000. I
>made the change, took out the floppy and examined the contents.
The change
>in the config sys file was there, so I am assuming the change
was made.
>
>Now, should installation with replacement floppies be possible?

Yes, it shall work now !

>What else must I do as in terms of fixpacks and updates?

Let's talk about fixpacks and updates after your basic
installation !
2 hints to reconsider:
1) Netscape 4.61 needs FP5 or higher !
2) Get this great WarpUP15 CD-ROM from the following link:

http://www.prismdataworks.com/warpup/

This WarpUP CD-ROM will bring your system on to FP15 with
everthing
needed and working easy and perfect ;-))

Regards, svobi
