Hi Steven
Thanks for your complementary comments ;-)

>>Does this mean that you do use a (specific) partition with =

>It may turn out that way, but it does not matter.

OK, I see ;-)

>This system for historical reasons boots Warp4 from driver F:.
>Both D: and E: have miminal BOOTOS2 setups set up to autocheck =

>only D: and E:, respectively. =

>E: happens to be smallers, so if I have one of my rare kerenel =

>exceptions, I will boot the E: and then chkdsk the other =

>partitions from the command line.

OK, this is upon to historical reasons and your personal needs !
it's also a topic up to your working methodics !!
I see it as to be and feel confident how it is !!!

>On the laptop, I have E: set up with THINLAPS.
>That way I can do restores over the network if needed.

THINLAPS !?
An application, a tool or a philosophy ?
Regarding networking I am new and weak and interested to know, =

learn and understand better ! Could you explain me "THINLAPS" =

better ?

>>Sounds good: a slim trimmed fast rescue package ;-)
>
>Yes, although my experience is that since I have it and it is so
>accessible I rarely need to use it.

Yeah, your experience is far above average ;-)
You do not need all these safety and security activities =

anymore, because you are not doing that much mistake like =

I still do because I do not have your level of experience ;-))

Another aspect also is "personal interest" !
What is your focus and intention regarding an OS or a PBM, =

as mailer !? Technology or solution ? Concept or methodics ?

Myself I want to understand my OS or my Lotus Notes resp. PBM =

to use it easy, efficiently, with pleasure and not with burden =

and restrictions ! I am not "playing" a system or application =

engineer ... I do more play an intelligent power user ;-)

Systems and applications have to fullfil my methodics and needs !

Once again: Thanks a lot for your appreciated assistance ;-))
Have a nice Sunday, =

svobi
