>Unless you have a reason to believe that the unit is broken, it's likely the batteries, probably of the sealed lead-acid variety. They don't last forever (if you really got more than a couple of years out of them, meaning it really holds your setup for more than a couple of minutes, then consider yourself lucky). Open 'er up, pull the batteries and replace. All the reasonable computer shows have them for cheap. Otherwise, your local electronics supply shop will probably carry them. Good luck.
